Ghost Kick Off Summer season US Tour with Amon Amarth: Pictures + Setlists

Ghost have hit the street for a summer time US tour, bringing fellow Swedes Amon Amarth alongside for the trip. The “Re-Imperator” formally kicked off with a packed present Wednesday night time (August 2nd) on the Harmony Pavilion in Harmony, California.

Supporting their newest launch, The Nice Heathen Military, Amon Amarth bought the ball rolling with a nine-song setlist that had the metalheads within the already full venue singing alongside. The band kicked off the set with “Raven’s Flight,” full with a viking helmet drum riser, and two large swordsman statues on both facet of the stage. “Put Your Again into the Oar” was simply the gang favourite of the set, as made apparent by the followers rowing alongside to the tune. By the point the band wrapped up their transient set with “Twilight of the Thunder Guard,” all the venue was primed for the headliners.

With “Imperium” blasting over the PA because the curtain dropped, Ghost hit the stage with “Kaisarion” from their newest album, IMPERA. Led by the one and solely Papa Emeritus IV (aka Tobias Forge), the band tore via a 19-song setlist. Backed by his Anonymous Ghouls, Papa supplied showmanship all through the set, and early highlights included “Rats” and “From the Pinnacle to the Pit.” From there, the band performed “Absolution,” adopted by “Ritual” and “Name Me Little Sunshine.”

Though the stained glass cathedral backdrop for the band’s set remained fixed, Papa Emeritus did undergo a lot of costume modifications. After closing their major set with “Respite on the Spitalfields,” Ghost returned to the stage for a three-song encore, wrapping-up the night with the anthemic “Sq. Hammer.”
